As a detective, I approached the crossword clue ‘With frequency’ with a sharp attention to detail and a quick-thinking mindset. My first instinct was to identify any potential word that fits the length of the slot, which was three letters in this case. I then considered the vowels and consonants that are commonly used with such a length. Based on my experience, the letter O along with the consonants F and T appeared to be the best fit. Taking a closer look at the other clues intersecting with this slot, I observed that the letters in the first and last slots of the intersecting clues also matched with O and F/ T respectively. This further reinforced my initial hypothesis of OFT being the answer. With a sense of conviction, I filled in the answer as OFT, and to my satisfaction, the clue made perfect sense.
