“So rude!”

Once upon a time, there was a young woman named Emily who loved playing crossword puzzles. One day, she was stuck on a clue that read “So rude!” and had no idea what the answer could be.

She tried all sorts of words that could fit, but nothing worked. Feeling frustrated, she decided to take a break and went for a walk in the park. As she was wandering around, she spotted an old friend from high school named Jack.

Unfortunately, Jack didn’t even acknowledge her presence. He just walked straight past her, leaving Emily feeling embarrassed and insignificant. That’s when she understood the connection between the clue and the answer.

Emily exclaimed, “THENERVE!” She understood that the answer was referring to the nerve that Jack had to ignore her after they were friends. Emily quickly filled in the answer on her crossword puzzle and was ecstatic to finish the puzzle.
