Pair of glasses?

When presented with the clue ‘Pair of glasses?’, my mind initially jumped to thinking of the eyeglasses as a whole. However, upon closer examination of the question mark at the end of the clue, I began to realize that there may be a more subtle and tricky answer. I then thought about the individual parts of glasses, specifically the rims that hold the lenses in place. Ah-ha! ‘Rims’ fit perfectly as an answer to this clue, as there are two rims necessary for a pair of glasses. Sometimes, a little creative thinking and attention to detail can lead to solving even the most challenging of clues.
