Owl-light

As a detective solving the mystery of the crossword clue ‘Owl-light’, my initial thought process was that this had something to do with the time of day when owls are typically awake and active. My mind went to the time of day when I usually hear owls hoot, which is typically around dusk or dawn. Since the clue was only six letters long, my logical next step was to look for a synonym for dusk that would fit the available spaces. The word ‘twilight’ seemed like a plausible option, but it was too long. However, the synonym ‘dusk’ was the perfect fit and also recollected the faint light of the sky still visible after sunset, which could be related to the light in which one may see an owl. By combining my powers of deduction and knowledge of vocabulary, I was able to solve the mystery of the crossword clue ‘Owl-light’ and correctly determine that the answer was ‘dusk’.
