Stuck on a Crossword? Hints for Jobs and Jokes

Once upon a time, there was a young man named Jack who was looking for his first job. Jack went to many interviews, hoping to find a decent job that would help him support himself. At one interview, the interviewer asked him, “Do you have any experience working in a factory?” Jack responded, “No, I’m sorry, I don’t.”

The interviewer chuckled and said, “Well, that’s okay. We have a spot available for you. The job is dirty, but it pays well.” Jack was confused and asked, “Dirty? What do you mean?” The interviewer explained that the job required him to work with heavy machinery and he would get oil and grease all over him. It wasn’t glamorous work, but it paid well.

That night, Jack’s friends invited him to a comedy club downtown, and they had a great time. One of the comedians told a particularly raunchy joke that had the entire audience in stitches. As they left the club, one of Jack’s friends said, “That was such a dirty joke!” Then it dawned on Jack: “Like some jobs and jokes” – the answer was DIRTY!

And so, Jack got the job that was a bit dirty, but paid well, and he also had a good laugh with his friends at a comedians dirty jokes. From then on, every time he worked at the factory, he would smile and think of that joke, knowing that being a little dirty can have its perks in certain situations.
