Is no more

Once upon a time, in a little village there was a man named Jack. Jack was a carpenter and he loved his job more than anything. His work was his passion, and he was always looking for ways to improve his skills.

One day Jack fell ill, and despite the best efforts of his friends and family, he passed away. The village was in mourning, and everyone was sad that Jack was no more.

As they were preparing for Jack’s funeral, Jack’s son found a box in the attic. It was full of old documents and photos that Jack had kept from his youth. He began to sift through the papers and came across an old newspaper. On the back page was a crossword puzzle that Jack had completed many years ago.

The final clue on the puzzle was “no longer exists“, with three blank spaces. Jack had written in “WAS“. Suddenly, it dawned on Jack’s son that his father had always known that he would not be around forever, and that he had accepted this fact.

From that day on, the people of the village remembered Jack every time they saw the word “WAS” in a crossword puzzle. It reminded them that even though Jack was no longer around, his spirit lived on in the things he had left behind, and in the memories of those who knew him.
