Indication of an operation

Once upon a time, there was a young girl named Alice who had to undergo surgery. She was so worried about the procedure that her mother promised to get her a special book to read while she waited. The book was a collection of crossword puzzles, and Alice soon became engrossed in solving them.

As she waited for her surgery, Alice stumbled upon a crossword puzzle with the clue, “Indication of an operation.” She initially thought it referred to the word “incision“, but couldn’t quite fit it into the puzzle grid. After some further thought, Alice realized that the answer was actually “SCAR“, as it represented the aftermath of the operation.

Feeling a sense of pride for figuring out the clue, Alice became more confident about her own upcoming operation. Though there was still a sense of fear about what lay ahead, she felt more assured that with time and proper care, her own surgical scars would eventually heal over, just like they did in the crossword puzzle.
