Field of computing

As a detective, I began by analyzing the clue ‘Field of computing‘ to determine what type of answer would fit. I knew that computing involves a wide range of topics, such as coding, hardware, and software, but “field” hinted at a more specific area. My mind quickly turned to the computer screen, which is where most of our computer activity occurs. I thought about the different components on a screen, such as icons, menus, and toolbars, but none of them seemed to fit the clue. That was until I considered the most crucial element of any screen- the Address Bar. The Address Bar is the field on a web page where users can input a website’s URL. It is an essential tool in computing and fits the description of a field perfectly. It became clear to me that the answer to the clue was ADDRESSBAR. With this insight, I successfully solved the mystery and felt like a true detective.
