Decides

Once upon a time, there was a young prince who was tasked with making a difficult decision. He had to choose between two paths – one that would lead him to riches, and the other that would lead him to true love.

Confused and unsure of what to do, the prince turned to his wise old tutor for advice. The tutor, seeing the prince’s dilemma, gave him a sheet of paper with a crossword puzzle on it. He told the prince that the answer to the final clue, ‘Decides’, would hold his answer to which path to take.

The prince worked tirelessly on the crossword, filling in each clue with ease. But when he finally got to the last clue, he found himself stumped. He couldn’t figure out the four-letter word that would complete the puzzle.

As time passed, the prince grew frustrated and impatient. He desperately wanted to reach a decision, but the crossword was holding him back. It wasn’t until he took a step back and looked at the puzzle again that he finally saw the answer he had been searching for.

The solution to the final clue was ‘OPTS’. The prince gasped as he realized the significance of the word. By choosing one answer from a list of options, he was, in fact, deciding. He thanked his tutor for the clever puzzle, and with newfound confidence, he made his decision – to follow his heart and choose true love.

From that day forward, the prince always remembered the crossword that had helped him make his decision. He may have been royalty, but sometimes, even the wisest rulers need a little help when deciding on life’s biggest choices.
