Charges lacking merit, literally

Once upon a time, there was a young lawyer named Lily who was always on the lookout for her next big case. One day, while reading the newspaper, she came across a crossword puzzle. She loved puzzles and started to go through the clues.

One particular clue caught her attention: “Charges lacking merit, literally.” She thought for a minute, and then it hit her – the answer was “accusations.”

In the end, Lily’s hard work paid off. The charges against her client were dropped, and he was able to move on with his life. As she left the courthouse that day, Lily smiled to herself, thinking of how the puzzle clue had led her to such a meaningful case – one where she was able to protect someone from baseless accusations.
