Stumped by ‘Amazon deposits’? Crack the code here!

Once upon a time, there was a great river called the Amazon. The people who lived near the river relied on it for transportation, food, and water. But the river was always changing, sometimes it was shallow and sometimes it was deep. One day, a wise old woman noticed that tiny particles of sand and soil were being carried by the river and left behind when the water slowed down.

As time went on, the people learned to work with the river and understand its patterns. They knew that during the rainy season, the river would rise and deposit more silts along the banks. They could use these silts to grow crops and sustain their community.

One day, a young girl who loved puzzles was doing a crossword when she came across the clue “Amazon deposits.” She thought back to the wise old woman and remembered how the silts were formed from the deposits. So she wrote “SILTS” in the crossword puzzle, feeling proud of herself for solving the puzzle using her knowledge of the natural world.

And so, even in a small way, the legacy of the Amazon river and its rich deposits continued on through the little girl’s understanding and the daily lives of the people who lived near its banks.
