There was once a small village in Cuba where the residents loved to dance. They would dance every chance they got, and soon enough they developed their own unique style of dance that combined Cuban and African rhythms. This became known as the Rumba dance.

One day, a group of dancers from the village decided to put on a big ballroom dance show in the city. As they were getting ready, they realized they had forgotten something very important – the rum! It was tradition to have rum as an offering to the gods before starting any important ceremony, and this ballroom performance was no exception.

Panicked, they started brainstorming how they could get the rum in time for the show. As they were puzzling over it, one of the dancers had an idea. “I heard there’s a crossword puzzle in the city newspaper today. Maybe the answer to one of the clues is ‘rum’, and that could be a sign that we’ll be able to get some in time for the show!”

They quickly found a newspaper and started scanning the crossword puzzle. Suddenly, they stumbled across the perfect clue – “Afro-Cuban ballroom dance”. The answer was undoubtedly Rumba! Excited by this sudden fortune, they immediately dashed to the market to buy some rum.

With the rum in hand and a lot of practice under their belt, the dancers were finally ready to perform their Rumba ballroom dance for the city. The show was a huge success, and many people from all over the world came to see and experience the unique combination of Cuban and African rhythms that made up this lively dance.
